Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change the appearance of my site?

That depends entirely on what you are trying to change. There are 3 ways to alter the overall appearance of your site. You can shift and move your column blocks around by logging into your admin panel and selecting Layout => Manage Blocks.

You can change colors, fonts, borders, and such from the stylesheet that corresponds to your default template. These files can be rather lengthy, but if you're familiar with CSS, you should have little trouble in dealing with them. You can change the overall layout of your pages by changing your template file.

There are two ways to change the stylesheet and template. You can select Manage Layout in your admin panel to see a list of templates and stylesheets in your system or you can open your template directory and edit your template files directly. I find editing the template file directly is best for large edits and using the admin panel (which is a tad faster) is best for small tweaks.

The template file is nothing more than a PHP file with a series of variables placed where the data goes, so you must keep PHP syntax in mind when editing the template file.

A much simpler template engine is already in the works for the next version of Majicko.
